Through the new French doors, you step directly into the garden. Wide stepping stones guide your path across a gravel walkway, leading you through lush greenery. On both sides, I’ve applied a rich mix of plants that respond to the changing seasons. Some botanical species remain evergreen throughout the year, while others transform from fresh spring green to deep red in summer. Further on in this document, you’ll find an overview of the selected plantings.
For the fence cladding, I chose Shou Sugi Ban – deeply charred bamboo boards that create a striking contrast with the surrounding greenery. The garden house is clad with vertical slats, providing a modern yet natural look. Together, the fence and garden house form a framework that allows the entire garden to shine.
At the back of the garden, I’ve created a cozy area where the family can lounge or dine in comfort. Here, I selected the Mediterraneo lounge setup by Gart, optionally combined with the Panarea chairs from Pedrali. Although the terrace sits level with the gravel, it is accessed by a small step. This subtle elevation gives the terrace its own identity and – especially when viewed from the house – creates a playful variation in height and a deeper spatial experience.
This design brings together balance, experience, and a touch of luxury in a natural setting. The combination of carefully chosen materials, seasonal planting, and playful height differences results in a garden that continues to surprise and invite all year round. A place where tranquility, togetherness, and aesthetics meet – exactly as intended.
