The El Paso Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC) showcases the rich and diverse Mexican American culture in all forms of art and social influence. From sculpture, painting, music, and culinary arts to sociopolitical movements and education, the MACC fosters awareness among all generations of what makes us unique and proud.

Located in the heart of El Paso’s Downtown Museum District, the MACC transformed 20,000 square feet of the original Main Library, along with a 20,000-square-foot addition, into a modern cultural center featuring exhibit halls, a black box theatre, an auditorium, dance and lecture classrooms, culinary classroom kitchens, and a rooftop terrace.

The combined building renovation and addition have turned this city block into an iconic center that promotes community gatherings and celebrations. The team developed a focused vision that resulted in a functional, cost-effective facility that meets all desired program needs.
