Hollandse Nieuwe has transformed the existing office of ZonMw from a traditional cellular office lay-out to a hybrid work environment: open, future-proof and serving as a social environment. Dedicated to increasing public health for decades, it was essential to create a healthy workspace for ZonMw as well. The design promotes both collaborative and focused work, surpassing the quality of homeworking with its smart layout and welcoming atmosphere.

This contributes to the well-being and sense of pride among ZonMw staff and visiting guests. Our design focuses on user-wellbeing and the use of non-toxic materials in the interior, while creating the right context for the large art collection to stimulate and inspire.For ZonMw, the way of working changed over time and the number of employees grew, which also changed the use of the office.

The working environment no longer functioned optimally and satisfactorily, both in look and feel and in facilities. People come to the office because they want to meet each other, work together and preferably in an environment that feels as comfortable as at home.
