Reference projects
Verstraete Development commissioned the office building, designed by POLO, in the prestigious Benelux Park in High Kortrijk. The building is situated next to a large pond and its design is based on Blauwdruk's master plan. The business park's entrance needed a prominent and visible gatekeeper. The building complex of the Kortrijk Business Park is fully automated. The Proscreen Zip 125 zip screens installed by Helioscreens partner Helioscreen Projects protect it from overheating. The Helioscreen Sergé 3% black-sand solar shading fabric used in combination with the glass achieves a g-tot value of 0.06. This is one of the reasons why the building achieves a BREEAM rating of Very Good. Lighting is controlled throughout the building: the intensity and color of the light are adjusted to match the intensity and color of the daylight entering through the windows.
The Business Garden office complex in Warsaw covers over 90,000 m² and includes office, hotel, conference, and service spaces. It comprises seven buildings on a six-hectare plot of land, with 60 percent of the area covered in green spaces. The project incorporates water and energy-saving systems, indoor environment control systems, and carefully selected construction materials to meet the requirements for well-balanced development and LEED certification.
