Tokyo Port City Takeshiba is a high-rise residential project developed in the Takeshiba district. This residential building stands in an area next to the sea by Takeshiba Pier and is surrounded by the lush green vegetation of the Hama-rikyu Gardens and Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens. The development combines this residential building with the A-block business building.

This location not only offers access to Tokyo Bay via its seaport Takeshiba Pier but also provides fantastic access to a monorail (Hamamatsu-cho) bound for Haneda Airport which connects Japan with the rest of the world.
Hoshino Architects understands the growing value of Takeshiba as a site opening up Japan to the world. This project aimed to bring creative prosperity to the area as a place full of originality where people with diverse values congregate.
The Creative Sail design concept achieved through exterior cladding perfectly tailors this sail motif with a place where all of us can feel the presence of the ocean. This design takes great care to cherish an image of a white sail snapping tight in the beautiful power of the wind as it pushes a vessel across the vast expanse of the sea.

The Tokyo Port City Takeshiba project took the utmost care to foster an atmosphere exuding the ocean feel distinct to this neighborhood. In particular, every detail of the entrance space emphasized the light and glimmer of the water surface.
The chandelier suspended from the ceiling in the entrance lounge, metallic counter tiles, and lighting resembling bubbles in the elevator lobby reflect light in a splendid shimmer throughout the space.

The use of various materials from basalt shelf walls to colorful carpet framed in marble presents an interior expressing a sea and seaside atmosphere.
The symmetrical layout and dynamic spatial design with a high ceiling in the entrance lounge boasts an exquisitely large and bold space reminiscent of the bow of a seaborne vessel.
The entrance lounge connects to several other spaces designed for people to play, study, and relax.
The adoption of flooring materials with a tasteful finish combined with a coating to amplify the roughness achieves a space with a unique sea and harbour atmosphere. Carpeting with a distinctly adventurous pattern offers tremendous movement to an interior tantalizing the imagination with fun.

The landscape design for the square adjoining Takeshiba Station took advantage of a coral reef garden plaza concept.
The design configures colorful vegetation in a curvilinear orientation while integrating lighting, shapes and colors strongly resembling coral reef.
The benches conform to this curvilinear shape to provide a lush, leisurely space offering a sense of freedom outdoors.
The design encouraging outdoor meetings and various other activities aims to foster the same spontaneous creativity as an indoor environment.
